The program prepares participants to work as effective volunteers contributing to the decision-making process of public and private institutions and agencies in the county. Through exploration of issues, problems and opportunities facing Oconee County today and in the future, class participants grow and learn.
- Identify and select highly motivated community leaders to participate in the program.
- Systematically challenge participants to become aware of, to examine and to respond to the social and economic needs of the community.
- Create a dialogue and sense of teamwork among participants and other community leaders.
- Identify opportunities for community involvement for placement of participants and alumni.
